What's the difference between 902 and high yield 902XL?

The 902XL high yield cartridge contains more ink than a standard HP 902 cartridge. For example, a standard HP 902 black can print up to 300 pages. A high yield HP 902XL black can print up to 825 pages.

The black HP 902XL cartridge in particular is a physically larger cartridge than a standard HP 902. Despite the larger size, a high yield HP 902XL black will still fit into the same slot as the standard 902 black cartridge. Installation instructions are similar as well.

How many pages can the 902 / 902XL print?

As mentioned earlier, a standard HP 902 black can print up to 300 pages while a high yield HP 902XL black prints up to 825 pages.

Each standard color HP 902 ink cartridge prints up to 315 pages, while each high yield 902XL cyan, magenta, or yellow cartridge prints up to 825 pages.
