Shop highly-rated compatible Brother DR730 drum replacements that cost 70% less than an original Brother drum unit.

Our compatible Brother DR730 drum unit replacements are built to give you more affordable options than expensive Brother products. This compatible DR730 drum unit works perfectly with TN730, TN760, and TN770 toner cartridges. Performs well with original Brother and compatible toner cartridges. Drum units are sold separately from toner cartridges.

What is the difference between drum and toner?

The toner cartridge contains the toner powder, the drum unit takes this powder and fuses it onto paper to produce a print. The drum unit is where you install the toner cartridge. Your printer cannot have one without the other. Both are required to use your printer, but you may not always need to purchase both at the same time. Toner cartridges are usually the first to go and if you are getting poor print results, a new toner will likely clear up the issue. The drum unit is designed to last longer, and typically requires replacement after the use of 3 or 4 toner cartridges.

How to check DR730 drum life?

1. To check the drum life manually, press on the down arrow under the (-) sign by your printer's display until you see "Machine Info." 2. Press the OK button. 3. To scroll through the next set of options, keep pressing the down arrow until you see "Parts Life" 4. Press the OK button. 5. Press the down arrow once and it should say "Drum Life". If you don't see this, keep pressing the down arrow until you do. 6. Press the OK button. 7. The display will show you how much you have left remaining in your drum. If it says "Remaining: 0%" then it's time to replace it. Otherwise, you can keep using your drum unit. 8. It's advisable to have a replacement on hand by the time you have 10% of your drum life remaining.

How do you replace a Brother DR730 drum unit?
