Difference between the TN221 and TN225. The TN221 is a standard yield toner cartridge while the TN225 is its high yield counterpart. High yield cartridges print more pages as they contain more toner powder compared to a standard cartridge. For the black cartridge in the TN221/TN225 series, there is no high yield option. High yield options are only available for the three colors: cyan (TN225C), magenta (TN225M), and yellow (TN225Y).
