Dramatically lower your home printing costs with these top-rated compatible ink cartridges from LD Products.
With many of us working and printing from home these days, our printers are getting a lot more mileage. Between printing for the office and your kid’s homework, printer cartridges are being used faster than ever and replacing a set of name brand ink can often cost well over a hundred dollars. Compatible ink cartridges from LD Products are a great way to lower those costs, offering comparable print quality for a fraction of the name brand price. We’ve been helping our customers save money on ink for over twenty years. With LD ink, you get reliable, high quality prints page after page and we back by every single cartridge with a lifetime guarantee so you can print with peace of mind.
In this guide, we’ll explain why you can save so much with aftermarket ink, how to get the most value from your cartridges and highlight a few of our favorite cartridges.
Why are compatible ink cartridges so affordable?
Aftermarket ink cartridges are manufactured and sold by a third-party cartridge provider, essentially someone other than your printer manufacturer. Third-party cartridges cost less than name brand cartridges because compatible suppliers don’t have to factor in printer manufacturing and development costs into the sale. By focusing solely on the manufacturing and quality of the cartridge, aftermarket cartridge providers like LD Products can afford to offer their ink at a much lower price compared to the name brand and pass the savings onto the customer. And those savings add up too! We are able to save our customers up to 60% off the name brand price. If you are curious about the differences between compatible and name brand ink, we cover everything in our in-depth guide, Name Brand vs. Remanufactured vs. Compatible Printer Cartridges.
How we picked our favorite ink cartridges
We sell thousands of cartridges, so of course it was hard to narrow this list down to just a few favorites. But here, we’ve chosen four of our most popular ink cartridges and one set of ink bottles that are top-rated by our customers. Every pick is ink efficient with a yield of 500 pages or more (our most ink efficient pick can print up to 7,500 pages!) and we show you how much you can save with our ink compared to the name brand. We also include a list of compatible printers for each cartridge series so if you are thinking about a new printer, we’ve got that covered for you too.

Will I get the same print quality as the name brand?
There are tons of online compatible ink suppliers out there competing for your wallet, each offering similar looking cartridges at varying price points. With so many options, it’s hard to know whether you’re purchasing a quality product or not. Before you buy, take the time to read the reviews and find out whether the company stands behind their product with a solid warranty. In our humble opinion, LD-brand compatible ink cartridges are the gold standard. As one of the leading aftermarket printer cartridge providers for the last twenty years, we work hard to ensure every cartridge passes our high standards of quality. LD cartridges are produced in a state of the art manufacturing facility and thoroughly inspected and performance tested by our expert technician team along all points of the manufacturing process so you get premium print results. On top of that, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more comprehensive commitment to quality with our lifetime guarantee.
How to get the most value from your ink cartridges
Buy high yield ink cartridges to get the most value. Higher yield cartridges are filled with more ink so they last longer, giving you more prints and lower overall operating costs. Ink cartridges with an “XL” in the part number, like HP 63XL, for example, are high yield. Some cartridge series even offer an extra high yield option, which ends in “XXL”. We break down how printer manufacturers break down their cartridge part numbers here.
How to keep your ink lasting longer
Keep in mind, ink cartridges can dry out over time. If you don’t print often, the ink inside the cartridge will dry up and become unusable. To keep your cartridge lasting longer, make sure it remains sealed and is stored upright in a cool, dark space like a desk cupboard prior to installation. Once installed, run a print job once every couple of weeks to keep the cartridge primed. If you find that you are not printing regularly enough and keep ending up with dried up ink cartridges, switch to a laser printer. Laser printers use toner cartridges instead of ink, and the toner powder inside won’t dry out. You can learn more about the difference between the two in our ink vs. toner guide.

My house printer takes hp 160ink and I can’t find it anywhere. Can you tell me a comptatible ink I could buy?
Hi Shelli, happy to help! What is the model number of your printer?
I have an HP OfficeJet 4620 series All-in-One Printer. I have been using refill cartridges that are not HP for about a year, but all of a sudden I am getting a message that there is a problem with my cartridge. It shows the 3 HP color cartridges as OK, but the black replacement cartridge is the one that is causing trouble. All the cartridges were recently added. the cartridges are no longer moving. They are stuck on the right side and I can not move it as I was able to do in the past. This has me concerned since I can’t use the printer at all. The printer goes on but gives the messages and it is hung up – won’t do anything. Do you have compatible cartridges for these (#564) and if so will it correct what is going on. I’m not even sure how I would get the current cartridges out or the new ones in. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
Hi Pat, did you try resetting the printer? To do this, leave the cartridges installed, power down the printer and unplug it from the wall for about a minute. Then power it back on and try printing again. The cartridges should re-center in the carriage on their own. Are you not able to move the carriage that holds the cartridges at all? We do have 564XL cartridges, but if it’s an issue with the carriage being stuck, I don’t think new cartridges will solve the problem.
