The Brother DCP-L2550DW monochrome laser printer uses either one (1) standard yield TN730 or one (1) high yield TN760 black toner cartridge. The Brother DCP-L2550DW works well with compatible toner replacements as it does with an original Brother cartridge.
What drum unit does Brother DCP-L2550DW use?
The Brother DCP-L2550DW monochrome laser printer uses one (1) DR730 drum unit. The drum unit is where you install your Brother DCP-L2550DW's TN730 or TN760 toner cartridge. The Brother DCP-L2550DW printer works well with compatible drum unit replacements as well as OEM.
How do I change the toner on my brother DCP L2550DW?
- Power on your printer. Open the front cover.
- Take out the drum unit by pulling on the green tab. You need to take out the drum unit in order to replace toner cartridges.
- Press on the green tab on the left to release the toner. Remove the old toner and set aside.
- Remove packaging from new Brother DCP-L2550DW toner replacement. Remove orange protective clip from the bottom of the cartridge.
- Over a trash bin, pull out the seal tape from the side of the cartridge and dispose. The entire strip of tape should come out.
- Gently rock the toner cartridge side to side to evenly spread out the toner powder inside the cartridge.
- Insert new toner into the drum unit and push until it clicks into place.
- Slide the drum unit back into the printer.
- You're now ready to print!
